Emotional Video of the week (You will probably cry): This lovely man called Nicholas Winton became known as the ‘British Schindler’ when he single-handedly created an organisation responsible for saving 669 Jewish children in Czechoslovakia during World War II. After the war, he didn’t tell anyone about it, and it wasn’t until years later in 1988, when his wife found some records in his attic, that anyone knew what he had done. The video shows him being recognised on “That’s Life”. He thought he was only a member of the audience and was surprised when he realised he was the main guest.
What a beautiful man, good on him.
